17 at lunch including speaker and Vern back for a visit.  Pot was at $506 when Mel Cohn picked $8 card. Joe Scott  - Judge in San Mateo county talked the judicial system and jury duty and how we received our basic system from the British years ago. He explained on how we dropped the "Ordeal" proof of innocence one of which  a supposed guilty person put their hand or arm( depending on the so called crime) into boiling water and the results when it was pulled out determined guilt or innocence.  Being a judge he is a friend of Mel Cohn and in a faithful twist he picked ticket for the pot pick.  Mel in return picked Joe for the attendance award, Joe politely declined and Lucy was then picked to win.
